Just a stone’s throw from King’s Cross and Angel, Barnard Park is a city park in the heart of a diverse London community.
The Park is badly in need of improvement, it is currently underused and feels disconnected from its surrounding neighbourhood. Many of the buildings and facilities are in urgent need of attention and residents have complained of anti-social behaviour taking place in the Park.
The Council is committed to improving Barnard Park and consultation on a new masterplan for the Park started in May 2008. To learn more about the masterplanning process click here.
The new vision will deliver an inspirational design to place the park at the core of a vibrant, safer neighbourhood. The masterplan aims to deliver not only a revitalized, green, open space but also to renew the park as a focus for local community life.
The masterplan will be used to raise funding necessary to enable the changes to the park to be built.
